What is the Foundation and who does it benefit? The Foundation raises and distributes funds - tax deductible donations that go directly to support and benefit the students (your children) - to be used by classes, school clubs, and faculty and staff projects that enable the school to do many things that would otherwise be impossible. The Foundation distributes nearly $10,000 annually, thanks to the generous support of Henry families and our community. But nothing happens without the help of the PHHS families.
Where does the money that the Foundation volunteers raise come from? We don't host fundraising galas, sell wrapping paper or candy, rather, our single source of funding comes from annual dues paid by the members, and by fundraising activities. You can join the Foundation for as low as $25!
How is the money used? Your valuable donation helps support:
Teacher grants
Classroom enrichment activities
Non-school funded field trips
School supplies
Staff and student recognition
Who runs the Foundation? The Foundation is run by a board, which consists of parents and staff. The board has several standing committees that report to the board at its annual meetings held on the third Thursday of most non-summer months. We urge you to join the board and participate in its activities.
